Universal Signature Collection hotels (Loews Portofino Bay, Loews Royal Pacific, and Hard Rock Hotel) are ideal for families visiting during busy seasons because the Unlimited Express Pass benefits can save significant time.

Best Budget-Friendly Option

Value resorts work well for families who want Early Park Admission (EPA) while keeping overall costs lower. The value resorts often have larger rooms & suites and more beds for larger families who don't want to reserve two standard rooms. These include the Endless Summer Dockside & Surfside Inn & Suites resorts and Cabana Bay Beach Resort. 

Best for Convenience

Hotels within walking distance of the parks are especially helpful for families with younger children who may need mid-day breaks.

Short answer: YES! Epic Universe is worth adding for many visitors, especially first-time guests and families interested in experiencing Universal Orlando's newest attractions and themed lands. The immersive quality of the lands, the new rides, the food options at various restaurants, and the shows are absolutely amazing! Having been there several times, including during preview days before it officially opened, Epic Universe is a park worth visiting.

Epic Universe may be worth it if:

  • You're planning a longer vacation

  • You want the newest rides & attractions

  • You love immersive themed experiences

  • You're a fan of Super Nintendo/Mario World, Harry Potter, and/or How to Train Your Dragon
